Pogaca is a delicious, buttery Turkish breakfast roll with a tasty savoury filling in it. Different fillings can be used such as olive paste, minced meat, fetta cheese, mashed potato, sausage and many more. Add sesame or poppy seeds on the glaze for extra appeal.
Note: These ingredients make about 40 small pogacas that can be eaten in two bites. You can make them bigger if you like or use half of the ingredients to make fewer.

4 cups flour
1/4 cup warm milk
1 tbsp dry instant yeast
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 bunch parsley
1 and 1/2 cups fetta cheese
1 egg yolk
Poppy seeds and/or sesame seeds
Mix sugar and yeast with milk. Combine all the dough ingredients including milk mixture and mix well together. Add more flour or water if needed, to make a pliable and non stick dough. Cover dough with a moist cloth and let yeast develop for 45 minutes.
Chop the parsley and mix it with fetta cheese. Take a small piece from the dough and flatten it with your hands. Put a teaspoon of cheese mixture on it and close it up, folding the edges upwards like a bundle. Repeat for rest of the dough.
Place baking paper on a tray and put pogacas on it. The folded side of pogacas should be at the bottom to create a ball shape on the top. Preheat the oven to 180C.
Beat the egg yolk well and glaze all pogacas using a brush. Sprinkle poppy seeds and/or sesame seeds on each pogaca. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden.
